LEVERAGING WORLD-CLASS EXPERTISE
NetJets views this multi-pronged climate initiative as an important first step in a long-term effort to ensure that we are on the forefront on climate issues and on the environment more broadly. We intend to continuously seek ways to reduce our environmental impact and apply best-in-class environmental management practices.

To help us at every step along the way, we assembled environmental advisory boards in both the U.S. and Europe comprised of recognized leaders from academia, government service, business, and environmental organizations. Below are short biographies of the five members of our U.S. Environmental Advisory Board.  



Fred Dryer
Professor, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, Princeton University, 1983-present; Undergraduate Departmental Representative, 1984-1987; Associate Dean, Academic Affairs, 1987-1990. Professor Dryer’s recent research on environmental issues has concentrated on hydrocarbon emissions from internal combustion engines, alternative fuel combustion properties, hydrogen fire safety, and syngas combustion properties for Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) power generation applications.

George Favaloro
Managing Partner of Esty Environmental Partners. Favaloro assists clients in a variety of industries to formulate and execute environmental strategies and corresponding communication programs. His background includes senior roles at large companies and start-ups, as well as strategy consulting with McKinsey & Company. His environmental business career includes co-teaching at Wharton Business School, launching an alternative transportation company, and founding Terrapass, a consumer carbon offset company.

Ashok Gupta
Senior Energy Economist and Director of the Air and Energy Program, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), based in New York.  Gupta leads NRDC's advocacy in the Northeast on climate change, clean air issues, and energy efficiency among others. He currently serves on several environmental boards, and he received Environmental Advocates' 2001 Advocate Award for leadership in support of clean air and energy.

Bonnie Reiss
Operating advisor to Pegasus Capital, advising them on acquiring and expanding their portfolio of environmentally-friendly companies. Reiss served as senior advisor to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger advising on all policy and strategic issues, including his environmental action plan. Her engagement on global environmental issues dates back two decades to her founding of the Earth Communications Office ("ECO") through which she involved thousands of members of the entertainment industry and other communications leaders in a wide range of important environmental causes.

Terry Tamminen
Served Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger from 2003 to 2006, first as Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency and later as Cabinet Secretary, the administration’s Chief Policy Advisor. Tamminen currently advises the Governors amd Premiers in the U.S. and Canada on energy and environmental policy. His recent book, Lives Per Gallon, provides an assessment of the full impact of petroleum use and a prescription for change.
