Executive Jet Adds Emergency Vision Assurance System
WOODBRIDGE, NJ March 16, 2000 – Executive Jet, Inc. has signed an agreement with Aircraft Services Group and Vision Safe Corporation to supply all the aircraft in Executive Jet’s NetJets® fractional aircraft ownership program with Vision Safe’s Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS).

EVAS is the only safety system available which has been FAA tested and certified to ensure pilot vision in the presence of dense continuous smoke in the cockpit.

The agreement calls for the entire NetJets fleet to be outfitted with EVAS, for both the pilot and co-pilot, by September 2000. Aircraft Services Group expects to deliver 400 EVAS units by September with additional 470 units to follow.

“The key to NetJets’ success and growth is fueled by our commitment to customer service and safety,” said Richard T. Santulli, chairman and chief executive of Executive Jet. “With this extra level of care, the NetJets program is setting a global standard among the fractional ownership industry.

“No one expects dense smoke conditions while traveling. Now, NetJets customers and crew can travel with the peace of mind and confidence knowing that Executive Jet’s pilots can retain functional vision in dense smoke conditions.” Executive Jet, a Berkshire Hathaway Inc. company, is the largest provider of fractional ownership offerings in the world through its NetJets programs. Executive Jet has committed over $850 million of new aircraft to the NetJets Europe program. In the last 3 ½ years, Executive Jet has ordered 640 new aircraft for the NetJets program totaling more than $10 billion from Boeing, Cessna, Dassault Falcon, Gulfstream and Raytheon. Executive Jet currently manages more than 270 aircraft, with 556 aircraft on order. In 2000, NetJets will fly more than 180,000 flights for NetJets owners with flights to more than 92 countries.

NetJets allows individuals and businesses to buy a portion of specific aircraft based on the number of actual flight hours they need. Owners are guaranteed use of their aircraft 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with just a few hours advance notice. Fractional aircraft ownership allows all the convenience of owning a multi-million dollar jet at a fraction of the cost.

NetJets programs are available in Europe, the U.S., and NetJets™ Middle East, and plans are underway for NetJets™ Asia and NetJets™ South America. More information on Executive Jet and its NetJets programs is available through Executive Jet’s website at www.netjets.com
