Federal Aviation Administration Honors NetJets Inc.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ June 28, 2002 -- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) presented NetJets(r) Inc. with the "Diamond" Certificate of Excellence for 2001, the most prestigious award given by the FAA for aviation technician training.

NetJets, the pioneer and worldwide leader in fractional aircraft ownership, received the "Diamond" certificate as part of the FAA's Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Awards Program.  NetJets received the "Diamond" the first time the company applied for the award.

The AMT Awards Program recognizes employers for the percentage of eligible maintenance technicians who have obtained honors in the AMT individual program.  Twenty-five percent of an employer's maintenance technicians must have received an individual AMT award during the same calendar year in order to qualify for a "Diamond".

"NetJets actually doubled the FAA's training requirements for the award," said Mark Reed, NetJets senior vice president of maintenance.  "This is part of our normal practice and our devotion to safety. NetJets' emphasis on safety is unsurpassed in the fractional aircraft ownership industry.  While it is good to be recognized by the FAA, the fact that NetJets does so much more than what is required is the best thing that should be taken note of.

"We do more than just technical training.  We conduct on-going training covering federal and international regulations as well as training on human factors designed to reduce the potential for human error.  Another unique program at NetJets is our internal team building training that utilizes consultants.   The team-building program brings together all NetJets departments that touch maintenance.  These include materials, avionics, maintenance control, quality control, and quality assurance."

NetJets allows individuals and companies to buy a piece of a private business jet at a fraction of the cost of whole aircraft ownership and then guarantees availability 365 days a year with just a few hours notice.  NetJets offers 14 different aircraft choices in its fleet including the Citation Bravo, Citation V Ultra, Citation Encore, Citation Excel, Citation VII, Hawker 800XP, Citation Sovereign, Hawker 1000, Citation X, Falcon 2000, Gulfstream 200, Gulfstream IV-SP, Gulfstream V, and Boeing Business Jet.
