Travel Tips

Recommendations when traveling to a mountainous or an island region this season

Traveling to an island for a warm getaway or enjoying the winter season at a mountainous destination can be an unforgettable experience. To ensure your upcoming trip is as seamless as possible, please review our recommendations to prevent any travel challenges or restrictions that can come with this busy time of year.

Mountain Travel

Notify your Owner Services Team of luggage you’ll be carrying, such as skis or snowboards.

Allow extra time in your schedule. Severe weather and air traffic control delays can impact your drive time and cause airport delays, e.g., when the aircraft is de-iced.

Island Travel

Notify your Owner Services Team if you’re connecting to a boat or to a smaller charter aircraft. If delays occur, our crew can make sure any corresponding travel associates are informed.

Be open to alternative arrival and departure times. The busiest travel hours on the islands are typically from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for arrivals or departures. Flying outside these times can potentially minimize delays.

Tips to keep top of mind

While Traveling

Prebook transfer services, as inventory can get low around high-demand weekends, like Presidents Day.

Be open to alternate airports. Weather and increased holiday air traffic can affect even the best-laid plans. Please contact your Owner Services Team to find the airport best suited for your travels.
