Your safety is our highest priority

That’s why we have the most rigorous standards for safety, maintenance, training, and operations in the industry, and we invest more time and resources into safety than any other private jet operator. And it's why NetJets is the first and only private aviation company to reach Level IV of the FAA’s Safety Management System Pilot Program.

Strict maintenance procedures

Strict maintenance procedures

All scheduled aircraft maintenance is done by the people who know your aircraft best – the original equipment manufacturers and their authorized support facilities. NetJets also employs over 400 federally licensed maintenance technicians. They work with manufacturers and engine and avionics providers to develop processes that don't just exceed the standard, but often set the bar for the rest of the industry. NetJets also has a 200,000 ft² state-of-the-art, FAA-certified repair station at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Superior technology

Superior technology

Our state-of-the-art fleet, created by the world's leading manufacturers, includes the newest, most advanced avionics and safety features in the industry. Each jet in our U.S. fleet, for instance, contains the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System and the Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System II – technology that isn't included on many of the jets used by our competitors.

Strict operational procedures

With our special dual-release system, no NetJets flight takes off unless both the pilot-in-command and an FAA-licensed aircraft dispatcher agree that the flight can be completed safely. This system is more costly and is not mandatory, but we know that it provides greater comfort and peace of mind for our Owners.

Comprehensive security measures

  • We work with Fixed-Base Operators (FBOs), local airport authorities, law enforcement officials, the National Business Aviation Association, and FAA security officials to ensure the latest security measures and procedures are in place
  • We thoroughly inspect every NetJets aircraft prior to boarding
  • We secure all NetJets aircraft parked overnight to prevent unauthorized access
  • For Part 135 flights, all passengers over 18 years of age must present a valid government-issued photo identification to the flight crew before boarding the plane
  • For Part 91(k) flights, lead passengers must present photo identification to the flight crew and verify the identification of all other passengers

Highest levels of liability protection

NetJets maintains $300,000,000 of liability insurance for all aircraft up to the large cabin Gulfstream fleet, on which we maintain $400,000,000 of liability insurance. These high levels demonstrate a much more rigorous culture of safety – exactly what you'd expect from an operator with the infrastructure to set the highest safety standards and audit consistently. Insurance companies don’t take risks with these policies, and neither do we.

The safety of our Owners is paramount. It's the foundation of everything we do.

Your NetJets team works to make your flight experience incomparably safe and smooth.
