COVID-19 Response Plan

Safety is, and always will be, our top priority
Note: This content is monitored and updated as needed.

We are exceeding flight demand expectations, making it absolutely paramount that we maintain the safety of our Owners and employees. And while there are obvious health benefits inherent to private aviation, our teams are also working diligently to leverage the full resources of a company of our scale and financial strength. This website and our secure Owner Portal provide a wealth of information about our response to the pandemic and are updated regularly. We continue to take all necessary precautions to mitigate the spread of the virus:

Travel

NetJets will follow the guidance of the U.S. Department of State, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO) to prohibit operations to locations it deems unsafe.

PRE-FLIGHT SCREENING
Crewmembers are no longer required to conduct pre-flight COVID-19 screenings for Owners. To provide the best-tailored travel advice at the time of booking, Owner Services Teams will continue to evaluate flight details and may request information about health history related to COVID-19 and ask for additional information concerning previous or future travel plans.

DOMESTIC
While national airspace is open to both commercial and private aviation, there are varying levels of response to COVID-19 from state and local governments across the country. We suggest that Owners understand the various implications before traveling, such as recommended or required self-quarantines and facial coverings. Your Owner Services Team can provide some assistance about the various requirements.

INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS
Travel will be allowed on a case-by-case basis following a proper risk assessment by the vice president of flight operations and vice president of safety. Restricted areas include the following:
  • China
  • Hong Kong

INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS
Entry into the U.S. requires a negative COVID-19 test. Travelers will need to ensure that every passenger 2 years of age or older will be able to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 lab-processed test within one day prior to departure. In addition, passengers will need to fill out and return a Passenger Attestation and Contract Tracing form for all international flights to the U.S. located here

TRAVEL TO EUROPE FROM THE UNITED STATES
Residents of the U.S. can travel to most of Europe due to lessening COVID-19 restrictions. However, some rules and regulations may still be in place or may change for certain countries. For the most up-to-date information, please reach out to your Owner Services Team. 

TRAVEL TO THE UNITED STATES
In accordance with government directives, travel coming from certain countries will be prohibited for non-U.S. citizens and any non-lawful permanent resident of the United States.

CREWMEMBER SAFEGUARDS

COVID-19 TESTING FOR NETJETS EMPLOYEES
We continue to provide free testing for all Crewmembers and employees. In fact, COVID-19 tests are continually stocked at NetJets Service HubsTM so that Pilots and Flight Attendants can regularly and easily test themselves.

FACE COVERINGS
Facial coverings are no longer required by NetJets employees, except where local mandates are still in place. Owners, however, may request Crewmembers wear facial coverings during interactions with them while aboard any NetJets aircraft or in a NetJets facility. Furthermore, if a Crewmember wishes to continue wearing a facial covering, that is up to each individual’s personal discretion.

SOCIAL DISTANCING
Amid this global pandemic, we are leveraging our vast infrastructure to implement a logistical strategy that keeps our Crewmembers healthy and meets the new realities of this very challenging time.
  • To curtail the risk of exposure, the avoidance of handshakes between our Crew, Owners, passengers, and any supplier is recommended
  • By clustering aircraft at base locations where we have a high concentration of Crewmembers, we enable Crewmembers to report for duty and return home via their personal vehicle or a NetJets aircraft rather than by commercial airlines
  • Additionally, all Crew travel is closely monitored; those exposed in any manner are prohibited from entering NetJets facilities and aircraft for 10 days and until they are no longer symptomatic

AIRCRAFT CLEANING

All NetJets aircraft continue to go through our multi-tiered cleaning and disinfecting program in accordance with the guidelines of the CDC and WHO. This helps us ensure a clean and comfortable cabin for each flight.

DAILY CLEANING AND DISINFECTING
For post-flight and pre-flight cleanings, our Crewmembers use disinfectant-grade products that are EPA-approved and effective at killing the COVID-19 virus. Additionally, deep cabin cleanings are managed every night by the NetJets Maintenance Team.

LONG-TERM PROTECTION
NetJets treats its aircraft interiors with an antimicrobial barrier that provides lasting protection from various bacteria, germs, and viruses like the coronavirus. Its durability comes from the molecular bond it forms with surfaces once cured.

CABIN AIR FILTRATION
While filter systems vary from aircraft to aircraft, all NetJets’ cabins circulate the onboard air with fresh outside air every 2–4 minutes. This time frame is based on various environmental factors (e.g., aircraft altitude, temperature). To compare, most office buildings do this every 15–20 minutes.

HIGH-RISK AIRCRAFT
Any NetJets aircraft that return from a region identified by the CDC as high risk are immediately quarantined and professionally cleaned.
